Abstract: (from the chapter) Yoga and Pilates are currently extremely popular forms of movement exercise. Both feature flowing physical movements that are designed to tone different muscles and enhance good posture, rhythmic breathing, and mental concentration. In addition, they improve balance and coordination. They increase flexibility in the muscles and joints and are not injurious to the joints.
