Abstract: The article reports on findings that stress can be harmful during pregnancy. Calvin Hobel, a professor of obstetrics at UCLA has been researching the phenomenon and has found that women who are stressed during pregnancy have a higher chance of delivering preterm babies. Hobel recommends that pregnant women slow down at work and split up their weekends. A study has found that doing yoga can relieve the stresses that can lead to preterm birth. Positive attitude mitigates the effects of stress.
