| Abstract: | Explored the relationship of personality type based on guna theory with self-concept and job satisfaction among 74 adults (aged 25-56 yrs) with varying jobs. Ss completed inventories to identify personality type, self-concept, and job satisfaction. Sattva personality was positively correlated with self-concept, but not with job satisfaction. Rajas personality showed significantly positive correlation with self-concept, but had a negative correlation with job satisfaction. Tamas personality did not significantly correlate with either self-concept or job satisfaction. Self-concept and job satisfaction were positively correlated. Correlations calculated for each item of job satisfaction in reference to the 3 dimensions of personality are discussed. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2002 APA, all rights reserved) |
