| Abstract: | The E.E.G., E.C.G. and spirogram of a Yogi were taken when he was buried in a pit which was covered and sealed. The E.E.G. recording did not show any difference from the resting record of the Yogi taken when he was above the pit. The rate of respiration was observed to come down. An analysis of the air in the pit showed a surprisingly low concentration of carbon-dioxide at the end of the experiment. This is indicative of a lowered rate of basal metabolism.
